Redford Ranch Wellness Center: A Haven for Healing
A Future Haven for Heroes
The Redford Ranch Foundation is building a $9.4 million wellness center in Aransas Pass, Texas, to heal veterans, first responders, and their families through passion and purpose. Founded by US Marine (Ret.) Doug Gresenz, who found hope in kayaking after a brain injury and amputation, our planned 20,000-square-foot facility will offer holistic rehabilitation and community connection by 2030. From fishing trips to community events, we’re sparking joy now—your support will bring this vision to life. “The cost of inaction costs lives.”
A Planned Oasis
Our envisioned two-story wellness center, still in development, will redefine accessibility and healing:
- First Floor: Therapy rooms, vocational training, fitness center, warm water therapy pool, sauna, cold plunge tank, and jujitsu mat room for mind, body, and spirit. A dining area will provide nutritious meals, with outdoor spaces for kayaking, fishing, equine therapy, and archery.
- Second Floor: Guest rooms for rest and recovery in a tranquil setting.
- Outbuilding: Dedicated to vocational training for career empowerment.
Set on 5 acres near the Gulf of Mexico, the center will blend South Texas’s natural beauty with innovative accessibility, informed by a decade of feedback from those with adaptive needs.
Programs and Impact
While we work toward construction, our programs like kayaking, fishing, birding, and art workshops foster healing and camaraderie. Partnerships with USAA, VFW Post 8932, and others amplify our reach. The future center will serve thousands with recreation, skills training, and peer mentorship, building a lasting Coastal Bend support network.
Sustainable Design
The planned center will use eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient design, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship. A dedicated team of veterans, counselors, and instructors will ensure personalized care, from therapy to job placement, once built.
Help Us Build
The Redford Ranch Wellness Center will be a lifeline for heroes struggling with trauma, offering purpose through photography, woodworking, or family activities. Your donation will help us break ground on this accessible haven. Join us—donate at [email protected] or call 361-944-5891 to heal heroes through passion and purpose.
